PROJECT NEPAL 2017/2018

10 travelers, in coordination with Empowered by Light, will be hosted by Empower Generation’s Kathmandu team.

Over the course of a week, we’ll 'talent share' with Empower Generation's amazing women entrepreneurs and install solar on eco-tree houses in Nepal’s Chitwan National Park.

No solar experience necessary! We’ll also have time for masala chai and sightseeing.

Each traveler is responsible for raising ~$2,500 (tax deductible donations on the Crowdrise platform) in advance of the trip (this funds the solar systems and supports the entrepreneurs), as well as paying for their own travel expenses (estimated to be +/- $2,500 including airfare).

Regarding travelers, the 10 can be work colleagues (Sungevity employees filled both the November 2016 and January 2017 trips) or friends you want to vacation with.

We are reaching out to larger companies who have employees from across diverse teams since in our experience, this was a great bonding experience and led to improved cross team communication and collaboration.
